Volunteers

Volunteering is good for your mental health

Aspire volunteers play an integral role in many organisations across the Southwest. Aspire is fortunate to have a volunteer base made up of participants of Aspire and community members.
Without volunteers it would be difficult to hold many of the programs that are conducted to assist participants on a day to day basis.

Volunteers assist with;

  •  BBQ's
  •  Bus trips
  •  Camps
  •  Fishing
  •  Sporting activities
  •  Bingo and other games
  •  Administration
  •  Social networking

Many Aspire participants find volunteering is a positive way to engage with others and create new skills, whilst utilising their own skills and abilities and improving their self esteem.

Volunteering is also a proven path back into the workforce.

As an Aspire volunteer you will receive support from the Volunteer Co-ordinator and other appropriate staff along with access to all relevant training. Aspire values its volunteers and has a recognition program that includes an annual picnic.

All prospective volunteers will have an interview with the Volunteer Co-ordinator and undergo a police check prior to being matched with a suitable program.

To enquire about this program contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator at the Aspire office in Warrnambool Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm.
