Respite Programs
The purpose of respite is to promote a positive relationship between the individual effected by mental illness, their family, friends and the community as a whole. The Aspire respite program managed through Sage Hill strives to be as flexible in its response to need as possible.
It is accessible to any family in the southwest region who has a member with a diagnosed mental illness and associated disability
Respite can provide some 'time out’ for either the person with mental illness, or their family/carer to maintain a strong and healthy relationship
Aspire provides two kinds of respite.

- The first is from a brokerage fund that is provided to Aspire by the Department of Human Services. This fund is accessible through Sage Hill, or through the rehabilitation and support worker of any individual participant.
- The second is the newly developing respite facility in Warrnambool that will provide flexible respite opportunities for a wide range of people within the community.
