Sage Hill Family and Friends Tasmania

The Sage Hill Family and Friends Service became established in Northern Tasmania in 2008. The Program provides a free, professional and confidential service for carers, family and friends of those people experiencing mental health and wellbeing issues across the whole 63/64 region, including the North East, North & North West Tasmania.

The Service focuses on the needs of anyone who is concerned about someone with a mental illness, or mental health and well being issue, including carers, family members and friends and aims to promote resilience and coping skills, increase understanding of mental health issues, reduce stress and explore options for time out and increasing opportunities for social interaction. Sage Hill does this through providing:

A flexible visiting service that can come to you
Information on mental illness, treatment and recovery
Information about and linkages to the services available to you
Individual, family or group support, including counselling for carer related issues
Community education workshops related to mental health and wellbeing
Links to peer support and
Information about services available to those affected by autism spectrum disorders and intelectual disability.
