Support for families has always been a priority for Aspire. In fact Sage Hill is the oldest operational part of the organisation.
One family member reported that she no longer burns saucepans as, due to Sage Hill, she does not get phone calls from other families at meal times!
Families are very important to the wellbeing of the community, and Aspire is committed to provide the support that enables them to fulfil their role, and to do it more effectively.

The values that underpin the services are:
- families are a vital part of the community who know what they need
- families must be listened and responded to
- families do not want to be case managed!
Family members have stated that they require support as needed, advice about mental illness and the effects of treatment, advice about early warning signs, counselling, support regarding physical health of family carers, respite and connection with the community.
