Services

Aspire delivers non clinical rehabilitation and support programs in south west Victoria and Tasmania.

In Victoria Aspire provides rehabilitation and support programs to over 200 people at any one time across the region from four sites.  The service focuses on people aged between 16 and 64 years of age who have a disability which results from the experience of mental illness.  Aspire provides individual and group programs, and some housing.  The agency provides a community focused day activity program for people in Supported Residential Services, has a volunteer program, and a mentoring program for young people.

Also in Victoria Aspire has a program for families called Sage Hill Carer’s service, which also coordinates the agency’s respite programs.  The respite program will be bolstered in 2008 by a new respite house which will be a great addition to the service network.

Growing strong, Tasmania
In Tasmania Aspire provides rehabilitation programs for over 200 people between 16 and 64 years of age who have a disability that is the result of the experience of mental illness from sites in Hobart Launceston and Burnie.  In 2008 Aspire will also provide support for families based on the Sage Hill model, in the north and north west.

In both states Aspire runs a range of health promotion programs.  In Victoria the primary activities include an in-schools program for year 9 and 10’s, and a very active mental Health First Aid program.  In Tasmania a suite of programs are currently being developed.

Aspire is a part of a service system made up of many agencies, and services.  For more on this please refer to the 'service system' sections of the Victorian and Tasmania pages.
