Community Information Sessions

Aspire, with the support of its many volunteers, regularly participates in community information and/or awareness days in communities across the Southwest of Victoria.
During late 2009, in response to expressed needs from the Country Fire Authority in Southwest Victoria following the black Saturday fires in January 2009, Aspire was approached to project manage the delivery of four Trauma Related Mental Health Forums across the region. This project brought together the Austin Hospital Trauma Unit, Southwest Healthcare Primary Mental Health team and the Otway Division of General Practice.

Other regular activities include: school student health days, service club community mental health forums, health expos, men's health expos and Deakin University - Warrnambool campus student orientation week.

For more information on any of the Community information sessions please contact the Health Promotion and Education Manager at the Warrnambool office between 9-5 Monday to Friday.
