The blueskyball is an annual charity event held in Launceston. The proceeds from the ball are donated to Aspire to provide mental health promotion activities to support depression awareness.

The purpose of the blueskyball Depression Awareness Program is to provide:

  • Health promotion and community development
  • Engagement with local communities to increase mental health and wellbeing
  • Increase community awareness of depression and other mental illness
  • Help reduce the stigma of mental illness in the community

The Program employs part time project staff who work as rehabilitation and recovery staff across the North and North West of Tasmania.

The 6th blueskyball will be held in Launceston at the beginning of October 2010.
